Brad Quilliam
Brad is a committed community member with the ability to demonstrate stability under extreme circumstances and skilled across various community sectors, capable of establishing organisations and committees to add value to community functionality, engagement, and morale.
Brad is knowledgeable in good company governance and operations, with experience in various aspects of management with extensive experience in industry and community development, regional advocacy and fulfilled many roles such as: government appointments, contracted project management and community leadership across various aspects of community development and disaster recovery.
Brad’s disaster recovery experience includes:
- Murrindindi Shire Economic Recovery Coordinator (2016 – 2018)
- Project Manager (funded by Victorian Government’s Fire Recovery Unit) sub-contracted to the Murrindindi Shire to strengthen and support the recovery (Community Morale, Heath & Wellbeing and Business Development, Job Creation, 2017 Murrindindi Business Awards, Business & Tourism Association Sustainability)
- Kinglake Ranges Economic Recovery - Chairperson 2009 - 2017
- Kinglake Ranges Community Recovery Committee - Committee member 2009 – 2011
- Victorian Government Recovery Program for Men’s Health - Committee member 2009 – 2011
- Mitchell / Murrindindi Tourism Bushfire Recovery Committee - Committee member 2009 – 2010
- Bushfire Education Foundation – Board member 2015 – Current
Brad has been recognised for his efforts by receiving:
- 2010 Certificate of Appreciation from Commonwealth Government and State Government in grateful recognition of significant commitment and contribution to the recovery and rebuilding effort in the aftermath of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires
- 2011 presented with the Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Rotary Club of Eltham for services to the community of Kinglake Ranges
- 2012 Awarded Murrindindi Shire's Citizen of the Year
- 2012 Awarded Rotary District 9790 Vocational Service Leadership Award
- 2012 Awarded Victorian Central Ranges Region’s Local Learning and Employment Networks Trailblazer Award for services to improve employment efforts
